As you have likely heard, the Pathways to Prosperity 2017 National Conference will take place on November 16-17, 2017 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Toronto, with a full-day Preconference Workshop for Local Immigration Partnerships and Réseaux en immigration francophone on November 15.
The theme of this year’s conference is Canada’s Place in the World: Innovation in Immigration Research, Policy, and Practice. The conference will address both new and persistent issues, including building bridges between aboriginal and immigrant communities; understanding and addressing public anxiety around immigration; what we have learned about refugee resettlement from the Syrian refugee program; new strategies for determining the effectiveness of settlement programs; and intercultural dialogue and mediation for living together.
We are currently inviting workshop proposals for the concurrent workshops that will be held on the afternoon of November 16. On the evening of November 16, We are currently also inviting poster proposals for a poster session accompanying a cocktail reception to be held on the evening of November 16 to showcase the work of attendees.
Preconference Workshop for LIPs and RIFs
